Brockwood Park is gelegen in een rustige, maar goed bereikbare streek in Hampshire, VK. Omringd door de oude bossen en glooiende heuvels van de South Downs is Brockwood de ideale plaats om het hele leven te onderzoeken. De verschillende elementen van Brockwood Park vullen elkaar aan en vormen samen een uniek geheel. Het Krishnamurti Centre<\/a> is een rustig retraitecentrum voor volwassenen om onderzoek te doen naar het werk van Krishnamurti en de relevantie daarvan voor hun eigen leven. Het Centre dat door Krishnamurti werd opgericht en in 1987 openging, is speciaal ontworpen als retraitecentrum. Het Centre ligt op een terrein van 20 hectare in de mooie natuur van Hampshire. Het beschikt over 20 zit-slaapkamers en twee flats voor de gasten. De gemeenschappelijke ruimtes zijn: leeszaal, ruime zitkamer, serre, videoruimtes, eetzaal, binnentuin en een unieke stilteruimte. Alle maaltijden zijn vegetarisch, en op verzoek vegan. Er is geen begeleiding of gestructureerde activiteit, behalve tijdens de themaweekenden of studieretraites<\/a>. Gasten kunnen zelf bepalen wat ze willen bestuderen, ze kunnen gebruik maken van de bibliotheek, wandelen in Brocwood Park of in de omgeving en op informele wijze met anderen in dialoog gaan. Ook daggasten zijn welkom als ze zich vooraf aanmelden.<\/p>\n

Alle gasten hebben toegang tot de collectie boeken, video’s en audiotapes van het Centre. De leeszaal bevat een of meer exemplaren van alle Krishnamurti boeken en vele vertalingen. Er zijn twee videoruimtes en de gasten kunnen gebruik maken van draagbare audiorecorders. De boekwinkel beschikt over een uitgebreide selectie Krishnamurti boeken. <\/p>\n

De Krishnamurti Foundation Trust werd in 1968 opgericht als charitatieve stichting. Ze is gevestigd in het Krishnamurti Centre<\/a> met het doel om Krishanmurti’s lessen te behouden en beschikbaar te maken. We richten ons op een wereldwijd publiek door te zorgen dat iedereen, waar dan ook, gratis toegang kan krijgen tot Krishnamurti video’s, audiotapes en teksten.<\/p>\n

De Foundation is geen religieuze organisatie en heeft geen enkel sprititueel gezag. Het is een dienstverlenende organisatie voor mensen die mogelijk ge\u00efnteresseerd zijn in Krishnamurti’s werk en dat willen begrijpen in de context van hun eigen leven.<\/p>\n

De Brockwood Park School is een gemengde, internationale kostschool waar persoonsgericht holistisch onderwijs wordt gegeven aan circa 70 leerlingen in de leeftijd van 14 tot 19 jaar. Brockwood Park biedt jonge mensen (van 23 tot 35 jaar) die ge\u00efnteresseerd zijn in het werk van Krishnamurti de gelegenheid om zich daar elf maanden te verdiepen in het onderzoek en om mee te werken. We hebben plaats voor een beperkt aantal inwonende vrijwilligers, waarbij we kijken naar de behoefte aan hulp op dat moment. Kandidaten krijgen zo de kans om met gelijkgezinden serieuze levensvragen te onderzoeken in het licht van Krishnamurti’s werk.<\/p>\n

Bovendien staan we altijd open voor mensen die ge\u00efnteresseerd zijn in Krishnamurti en meer willen weten over mogeljkheden om in Brockwood Park te werken. Misschien is er op het moment zelf nog geen geschikte vacature, maar toch is het voor ons nuttig om te weten dat je ge\u00efnteresseerd bent voor als er in de toekomst behoefte bestaat aan nieuwe staf.<\/p>\n

We staan ook open voor vrijwiligers die thuis aan verschillende projecten kunnen werken, met name aan het vertalen van ondertitels.<\/p>\n
