Whether as a volunteer or to attend an event, there are many ways to visit Brockwood Park and get involved in the work of the Foundation.

Stay At the Krishnamurti Centre

Set in over forty acres of grounds in the peaceful Hampshire countryside, the Centre has 20 en-suite rooms, a library, lounge, quiet room, conservatory, video rooms and dining area. There is no guidance or structured activity outside of the Theme Weekends or Study Retreats, and guests can arrange their own study programme, use the library, walk in the grounds or inquire informally with others. Day guests may use the Centre’s facilities without charge, and, by prior arrangement, have lunch for which there is a charge.

Volunteering at Brockwood Park

For young adults (aged 23 to 35) interested in Krishnamurti’s teachings, Brockwood Park offers an opportunity for inquiry and engagement over the course of eleven months. Based on the needs of the place, we accept a limited number of residential volunteers, providing applicants with the chance to explore the deeper questions of life in light of Krishnamurti’s Teachings alongside like-minded people.

The activities of the Foundation have always been generously assisted by volunteers. From subtitling videos in your language to helping with dissemination through your network, the Foundation continues to rely on the help of an engaged global network of helpers. Other voluntary activities include the transcription of audio recordings, scanning archival materials, restoration of audio recordings, along with helping in the grounds and with the running of the Krishnamurti Centre. Voluntary positions can be short or long term, based at Brockwood or at home.

Job Vacancies

The Foundation welcomes inquiries from those wishing to assist in its work to preserve and make available the Krishnamurti’s teachings. Regardless of whether or not a job has been posted, we would like to hear from those with a serious interest in Krishnamurti and a commitment to working with others in a spirit of inquiry and cooperation. If this applies to you and you have skills or experience in any one or more of the following areas, then please make contact:  information technology/computers; marketing and design; administration; social media; editing or fundraising and outreach.

International Committees and UK Information Centres

Committees played an important role in the pre-digital era and were essential in disseminating the work of Krishnamurti, distributing books and brochures, showing videos and holding dialogues. Today, due to digital dissemination their role has changed somewhat but are still very valuable, assisting the Foundation with translation work and receiving legacies on behalf of Brockwood Park. Committees and Information Centres also help make people aware of the teachings by organising dialogues, retreats and other activities.
